Sheena, owner and Lead Event Stylist coined the business name “The Wedding Couturier” after careful thought and consideration. “Wedding Planner” just doesn’t fit the bill! The word planner can easily be interchanged with designer, engineer, fabricator, stylist, inventor, producer, or all of those can be rolled into one under the title Couturier.

The Wedding Couturier is an event planning studio that first began four years ago in Lexington, Kentucky.  Designing and planning events throughout the Bluegrass and the South, for couples residing across the U.S.  Providing a new approach to event planning, Sheena has worked in both business and hospitality industries. She has studied Interior Design, Fashion, and holds a degree in Merchandising Apparel & Textiles from the University of Kentucky.

Sheena has undertaken Event Planning projects, pro bono for Relay for Life, Dress for Success Women’s Enrichment Programs, and Cumulus Broadcasting’s Bridal Fair & Fashion Show.  Sheena has sponsored Internship programs with both the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University.
