The It Flowers of 2012 have been announced by Carly Cylinder, Owner of Flour LA.

Carly says that, “ You may not love roses, but you will fall in love with a Garden Rose.  Volumptuous, Fragrant, and Graceful, the Garden Rose is a treasure often overlooked.  Other flowers reigning over 2012 are:  Sage, Jasmine, Dahlia, Wheat, Sweet Peas, and Queen Anne’s Lace.”

The Knot released its Top 10 List of Wedding Trends we are “sure to see” during 2012.  One of my favorite trends being… Watercolor.

According to The Knot, “Watercolor Designs will be on dresses, invitations and table designs, watercolor touches give weddings the perfect creative bent for 2012. A-list designer Carolina Herrera showed stunning watercolor prints in her spring 2012 bridal collection. And the color palette to do this in? Pastels like pink and lilac are the “it” colors of 2012!”

Below are a few Watercolor inspired stationary and invitation ideas…

“The 2011 color of the year, PANTONE 18-2120 Honeysuckle, encouraged us to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. Tangerine Tango, a spirited reddish orange, continues to provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward.”

“Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.” -Pantone.com

So how will we see this bright hue within Wedding trends this year?  Below are a few pics for inspiration!

Some people have mixed emotions regarding Black & White Weddings.   I for one, adore them.  Black & White are classic and timeless.  This is an easy color scheme to play up, or down, depending on how formal, glamorous, or casual you want your Wedding Day to be.
